Personal Lines Account Manager

Job Description

The Personal Lines Account Manager is given a book of business and is responsible for endorsements, answering underwriting requests, rounding out and up-selling accounts, renewing policies, renewal proposals, answering billing questions, and processing cancellations/reinstatements. The PLAM is also responsible for new sales and will have attainable goals and bonuses based on new business written from referrals and call in prospects. The candidate must be personable, have experience, drive, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements - Applicants Must:

  • Have a valid Virginia Property & Casualty license and have at least 2 years of Personal Account Management experience
  • Be ethical, professional, intelligent, personable, highly motivated, energetic, and responsible
  • Possess the following skills:
    • Critical thinking
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Organization
  • Experience with company management and quoting systems
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and management systems

Our Preferred Candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of Applied/TAM
  • Designations such as CIC or CISR
  • Bilingual with excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish a plus

Commercial Lines Account Manager - SBU

Job Description

The Commercial Lines Account Manager for our Small Business Unit is responsible for managing a book of business and inside sales. This is a new department within our organization so the candidate must have experience, drive, and the ability to work independently without a lot of direction. An Account Manager is responsible for endorsements, answering underwriting requests, rounding out and up-selling accounts, renewing policies including surplus lines, renewal proposals, answering billing questions, audit disputes, and processing cancellations/reinstatements.

Requirements - Applicants Must:

  • Have a valid Virginia Property & Casualty license and have at least 3 years of Commercial Account Management experience
  • Be ethical, professional, intelligent, personable, highly motivated, energetic, and responsible
  • Possess the following skills:
    • Critical thinking
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Organization
  • Have strong computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and management systems
  • Bilingual with excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish
